I just can’t get motivated to go to bed lately. I get like this when I sleep alone after a I’ve been sharing a bed for a while. So, all will be back to normal in a few days – but until then… i’m soo tired.
I dreamed that I bought a house in Port Hope. Apparently it was a great house and I was oh-so looking forward to moving in. Then someone asked how long it would take to get to work. Gee, I hadn’t thought about that! I checked a train schedule and realized it would take 2 1/2 hours each way. Holy shit! I realized we could have moved to Guelph instead (Why Guelph, I don’t know… other than I figured it would be greener and cheaper than Port Hope. It was a dream – give me a break). S was telling me that it should be ok, not to worry, because we had different schedules. I asked what difference would that make … it would still take me 2 1/2 hours to get to work! I realized I had made a big mistake and wondered how I could get out of it (just put it back up for sale again and hope to not take too much of a financial hit?). Instead, I decided to hop on the train to see how it was before taking action.
I figure this is related to the fact that I bought a house across the street from Regent Park and am oh-so looking forward to moving in. But I drove by the neighbourhood again the other day and thought “oh my god, what have I done???”
Ah well, at least it’s not a 2 1/2 hour commute!

I went to Woofstock yesterday with Romy and Nikki. It’s not as dog friendly as I expected. Oh sure, there were lots and lots of dogs – but you had to walk them through crowded areas in the baking sun as you went from one booth to another looking at dog-related swag for sale. Existing shops and restaurants at the Distillery district were off limits to pets, overall, and there were no dog friendly spaces. We couldn’t stop for lunch – because we had no place to put Nikki. It would have been better to go without a dog, actually – although that is counter intuitive.
I was expecting they might have had some additional dog-friendly patio areas – so your dog could sit with you while you dine, and fenced-off shady dog-park areas (as simple as throwing down a bunch of sod, putting up a fence and some tarps for shade).
Ah well – my curiosity is now sated.

…Charlies Angels. The movie. I got home and it was on tv. I love that movie – very fun. And then I see this woman, she’s the bad-guy’s partner – very good looking. And as I’m looking at her I realized “hey, that Ivan from the L word”. Makes me love Charlies Angels just that much more.
